The primary function of this role is to ensure the Inside Sales team meets its policy and revenue targets. This role is pivotal for leading and executing successful onsite and remote national Inside Sales strategies for the organization. Analytical acumen, strategic thinking, and leadership capabilities are all essential components for this role.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Goal Attainment:
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals for the Inside Sales team.
Strategic Analytics:
Utilize sales analytics, ensuring data-driven decision-making across team.
Operational Excellence:
Drive standardized performance metrics, insights, and best practices across the team.
Performance Optimization & Benchmarking:
Evaluate and calibrate sales capabilities, making data-backed staffing recommendations to maximize performance.
Commission Oversight:
Direct commission approval process and provide detailed metrics to senior leadership.
Reporting Mastery:
Lead weekly report reviews, ensuring targets and performance metrics are being met.
Resource Management:
Handle interdepartmental communications/issues and escalation; advocate as needed for Inside Sales team and initiatives.
Collaborative Leadership:
Cultivate a collaborative atmosphere, orchestrating regular touchpoints with direct team and key internal departments.
CRM & Compliance Adherence:
Uphold rigorous standards in CRM protocols and compliance regulations.
Team Development:
Oversee the recruitment, training, development, and retainment of exceptional talent. Motivate direct reports and overall team to exceed objectives through coaching, regular communication of results, and creative incentives.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience managing an inside sales team or call center.
3+ years demonstrable experience in sales, operations, or a related leadership role.
Experience selling health insurance-based products a plus.
Mastery over CRM systems and data analytics tools such as Salesforce.com, Pure Cloud and Genesys or similar CRM experience preferred.
Proven track record of delivering on aggressive sales pipeline targets.

Strength in working cross-functionally with various teams.
Proven experience as a problem solver with a continuous learning mentality.
Customer service oriented, responding timely to requests for service and assistance and meeting commitments.

Adaptability to changes in the work environment; manages competing demands and deals with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Physical Efforts & Working Conditions
Work is performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Substantial time is spent working on a computer.
