The Senior Engineer will work with complex systems and equipment while providing engineering and technical services to support our growing organization. We offer a unique and exciting opportunity to explore the best of both worlds, working both in the office and the field on a variety of interesting projects. Areas of expertise include designing new substations and infrastructure, analyzing systems and disruptions to service, working with transformers, engineering the electrical protection and control circuits that handle the flow of power, and dealing with acceptance testing of equipment, failures of equipment, and analysis of system disturbances. This is a hybrid role. The first three months are full time in the office.Distribution Engineering is responsible for the strategic development, expansion, planning, design, maintenance, and operation of the system and its equipment to provide reliable service to customers. Technical solutions and modernization initiatives are improving operations and enabling integration of renewable energy resources. The group also works to prevent, evaluate, and provide appropriate resolutions to system failures.Essential Functions:

Provides engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems of increasing scope and complexity.Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities.Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches related to defined problems and analysis.Conducts engineering and related studies; completes non-routine engineering projects with minimal oversight.Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities.Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills.Maintains accurate records and files.Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally.Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Experience:

Technical Knowledge/Skill:Knowledge of utility power systems is preferred.Ability to independently develop, present, and execute new projects through collaborations with other departments.Familiarity with power-related software is preferred.Education:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering.Experience:

Five to eight (5-8) years of related experience is required. Engineering design experience preferred.Compensation and Benefits:

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $122,010.00 to $135,570.00, plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.Working Conditions:
