The Business Systems Analyst II will provide support to projects and BAU efforts as it relates to business requirements and technology. Performs analysis, testing, requirements and troubleshooting within our various tool set. Communicates implementation & technology related information to the business, while providing guidance to determine system requirements and the best solution. Provide expertise for small to medium projects. Resolve problems or issues through methods of trouble shooting and separate analysis. Using sound information and theory, provide management with recommended actions to resolve issues or create value for the business.Key ResponsibilitiesManages and resolves a variety of mid-level to complex problems for the business requirements and technology.Support projects in identifying routine business requirements, project and process specifications within identified team.Provide input and guide the business unit to determine the best solutions and system requirements for their specific needs.Ability to provide accurate, timely & responsive services to the business unit.Create test applications, as well as trouble shoot and resolve routine problems for the business unit as it relates to business requirements and technology.Complete user acceptance testing for various service-related tools, developing test and execution plans.Support small to medium scale projects.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent.3-5 years relevant experience.Ability to multi-task and work on complex projects, participate in user and system requirements to assess testing impacts to various service tools.Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.Ability to understand technology as it relates to the business.Experience in providing accurate, timely & responsive services on complex problems.Ability to work independently yet, establish and maintain strong relationships within the department and across the business functions.Self-Starter, self motivated and highly organized.Experience interacting effectively with business partners and key stakeholders with ability to escalate issues when necessary.Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Access, SharePoint, Mainframe and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).Preferred Qualifications2 - 3 years testing experience and knowledge of Ameriprise systems and linkages.Strong annuity and/or insurance product and system knowledge.Ability to create PowerPoint presentations and dashboards for senior leadership.Experience with one or more Business Intelligence and Data Mining Tools desired (e.g., SQL, Python, etc.).Experience with Dataiku, Azure, AWS Data Lake, AWS Quicksight, and/or SageMaker.Ability to build customer personas, customer experience diagrams, and customer journey maps.Strong focus on qualitative and quantitative data analysis including statistical techniques, general data analysis, and trend analysis among others.Ability to quickly grasp and articulate the essence of complex issues/data; adept at operating with both high-level concepts and detailed analysis.Excellent storytelling, facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.Ability to influence senior and executive level leadership.Demonstrated ability to effectively lead change management activities in customer and employee behavior.Proven ability to effectively collaborate with others, initiate action, and adapt to change.
