Director-Data Strategy & Master Data
to lead and shape the future of our enterprise-wide data initiatives. This role will be a critical driver of our digital transformation journey, responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive data strategy that will propel Daikin to a data-driven business. The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of data governance, master data management, and the power of data-driven decision-making in a global enterprise.

What you will do:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and lead Daikin's enterprise-wide data strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving competitive advantage through data.
Master Data Governance: Oversee the establishment and maintenance of a robust master data management (MDM) framework to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all systems.
Data-Driven Decision-Making: Champion a data-centric culture, empowering business units to leverage data insights for strategic decision-making and operational excellence.
Technology and Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, implementing cutting-edge solutions that enhance data capabilities and drive innovation within the organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders across IT, business units, and external partners to ensure seamless integration of data strategy into all aspects of the enterprise.
Talent Development: Build and mentor a high-performing team of data professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with global data regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
8 years of experience in data strategy, master data management, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of data governance, master data management, data architecture, and analytics tools. Experience with cloud-based data platforms is a plus.
Leadership: Proven track record of leading and inspiring cross-functional teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable business strategies, with a focus on driving business value.
Innovation Mindset: Passion for staying on the cutting edge of data technology and a relentless drive to push the boundaries of what's possible.
Global Perspective: Experience working in a global organization with diverse teams and a deep understanding of global data regulations.
