The Special Events Assistant Director(s) will directly report to the Vice President of Special Events providing support on all Special Events.Job Responsibilities:Assist Vice President to plan, coordinate and implement all Casino and Resort events.Responsible for overseeing all events, programs, and communications.Assist Vice President in overseeing ticketed venues and the overall ticket management process for various venues including T-Mobile, Allegiant, Sphere, Las Vegas Ballpark, etc.Work with Creative Services and Casino Marketing to maintain invite status, drop calendars, and deadlines.Create and manage the annual budgets and actual expenses.Maintain Special Events calendar, convention space, and weekly schedule.Create Special Event Handbooks for new employees.Assist the Vice President with special projects as assigned.Create and manage the schedules of the Special Events Managers, Assistant Managers, and Specialists.Coach and offer performance reviews of the Special Events Managers, Assistant Managers, and Specialists.Develop terms and conditions for events and help manage legal submission status reports.Distribute accurate reports to various departments.Manage vendor contracts and vendor renewals.Research and develop event ideas and executions.Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Vice President.Will be required to assist in the overall management of all types of events including Table Games, Poker, Slot Tournaments, Golf Tournaments, Resort Events, Employee Services, Community Relations, Executive events, etc.Qualifications
Must be 21 years of age or older.A minimum of three years of management experience in event planning is required.A minimum of three years’ experience in a luxury Casino and/or Resort is preferred.Work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.Ensure confidentiality of all casino information.Detail-oriented with the ability to manage all casino information.Requires advanced proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).Candidates must be able to handle a high-pressure environment.Requires the highest degree of communication skills.The ability to read, write, and speak English is required.Professional appearance and demeanor.Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while working under pressure, meeting deadlines, and dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts.Additional Information
