The PME aims to bring solutions for urgent societal problems to the forefront while training the next generation of scientific leaders and entrepreneurs.Job SummaryThe PME seeks an experienced Award and Contract Specialist to support post-awards and contracts administration for faculty. Reporting to the Director of Budget and Accounting, the specialist will support grants, contracts, subcontracts, material transfer agreements, patents, and gifts for faculty.ResponsibilitiesManages and implements oversight of all post-award functions for the PME.Works with faculty to review grant awards and ensures budgets are accurate per University policies.Manages all subcontracts and facilitates payment of invoices promptly.Prepares and reconciles financial reports and manages project close-out processes.Serves as a primary resource for post-award grant questions and resolves discrepancies.Creates and executes sub-award agreements and processes budget changes.Monitors compliance with sponsored project-related time and effort commitments.Participates in special projects, including training workshops and process development.Performs other related work as needed.Minimum QualificationsEducation:
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in a related field.Work Experience:
Minimum requirements include 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.Preferred QualificationsEducation:
Bachelor’s degree.Experience:3+ years of progressively responsible business and administrative experience.A minimum of 3 years in accounting or related field.A minimum of 3 years in administrating sponsored research, especially post-awards.Technical Skills or Knowledge:Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Strong computer skills including document management and database management.Application DocumentsResume/CV (required)Cover Letter (required)Professional References Contact Information (3) (required)When applying, the document(s)
