Environment, Energy & Resource - Associate Attorney - Midlevel

As a mid-level Associate Attorney in the Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources practice group, you will engage in challenging legal work for resource development companies. Compensation:
$235,000.00 - $365,000.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide expert legal advice on complex issues involving natural resources, environmental regulations, and commercial matters.
Represent sophisticated clients in negotiations and court proceedings at both local and national levels.
Collaborate with national teammates in the firm’s Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources practice group.
Develop and maintain client relationships by ensuring compliant and strategic legal solutions.
Engage in rigorous legal research and analysis to support client needs and case preparation.
Participate in the drafting and reviewing of legal documents, such as contracts and legal responses.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
Must be admitted to the Bar in Alaska, or have the ability to obtain this admission.
2-5 years of relevant experience in legal issues related to energy, the environment, or natural resources.
Demonstrated ability in managing multiple cases and the ability to work under pressure.
Exceptional legal writing and communication skills, indicative of top-tier law journal or law review involvement or prior judicial clerkship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior judicial clerkship experience is highly valued.
A documented interest in and dedication to environmental law and sustainability.
Experience advising on litigation and non-litigation matters is preferred.
Skills in drafting complex contracts and negotiations.
Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team setting.
