Being your best is about being your authentic self in each moment – engaged, fulfilled, and ready to take on the world.Main Duties and Responsibilities:To assist in the implementation of the hotel’s Marketing Communications Strategy (goals, tactics and actions) to achieve and exceed forecasted revenue figures in Rooms, Food and Beverage, and all other revenue generating departments.To ensure the Marketing Communications activities are aligned with the Corporate Marketing Strategy, and the Hotel Actions have been implemented where appropriate.To assist in the preparation and update of the Departmental Operations Manuals.To attend regular departmental marketing communications meetings and ensure departmental briefings and meetings are effective and conducted as necessary.To ensure Marketing Communication associates provide excellent service to external customers, as well as internal customers in other departments.To handle all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to ensure problems are resolved satisfactorily.To maximize associate productivity through the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking and flexible scheduling to meet the financial goals of the business as well as the expectations of the guests.To assist with establishing annual marketing communications budgets, including above the line advertising, public relations, sales promotions and publicity that will form part of the hotel’s business plan.To maintain complete records of all media and purchase agreements, contracts and quotes for the hotel.To assist in monthly reforecasting.To assist in managing costs based on key performance indicators.To ensure that all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to financial record keeping, money handling and licensing are adhered to, including the timely and accurate reporting of financial information.To establish an annual and fully integrated communications program with measurable objectives, strategies and action steps.To assist in the preparation, utilization and update of an Annual Marketing Plan, broken down as necessary by division and/or department.To measure, interpret, prioritize and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing communications activities through an ROI analysis and adjust as necessary.To develop and maintain active contacts with the press and key media people, and evaluate all media solicitations and exposures.To monitor all current attitudes and public statements concerning the hotel in foreign and local media.To ensure adequate targeted publicity and coverage of the hotel’s positioning, promotional programs, corporate image building and other activities.To assess advertising needs and opportunities for the hotel and obtain initial approval of local media campaign proposals from the Director of Sales and Marketing and General Manager.To ensure all hotel advertising and collateral are of consistent high standards, and that they comply with HI’s brand standards.To establish strong relations with media/print/advertising agencies.To ensure timely and quality advertising and printing materials for all hotel’s Divisions.To prepare and document all related print for hotel and purchase requests.To recommend and develop proposals and direct and implement below the line sales promotions, with external partners such as credit card companies, banks, department stores, airlines, etc. to support the advertising and sales campaigns.To closely work with Marketing Manager – Strategy / Revenue Manager to maximize use of the targeted market information including customer profile, behavior, and yield for the planning and evaluation of marketing communications.To closely work together with other departments to assess and support their internal and external communications needs.To establish and maintain the hotel library and photographic image filing.To continuously update press kits.To develop good community contacts among government, businesses, associations, competitor hotels etc. and represent the hotel at public functions. To support ad-hoc events and projects in the community.To maintain a perpetual analysis of competitor’s marketing and communication activities in the local market.To assist the Director of Sales and Marketing by maintaining accurate records of up to date marketing expenditures, future commitments and remaining budget for the year.To serve as the Webmaster of the hotel’s Webpage and Internet related exposure and advertising including hotel other sites (Restaurant mini sites) following brand standards.To be aware of community, business, political and social factors that may affect the hotel’s financial performance.To initiate promotional activities for (F&B, Rooms, and Sales) Departments for stronger exposure together with Public Relations Manager.To arrange for hotel photo shoots/photography contracts following brand standards.To ensure other Marketing Communications associates work in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments, in a spirit of “We work through teams.”Core Skills:The ability to produce high quality work in a consistent and reliable manner, in support of Hyatt’s standards and processes.The ability to identify priorities, solve problems, produce desired results and be accountable for commitments.The ability to build relationships within and across functions, balance individual and team goals, respect others and value different perspectives.The ability to listen actively and identify appropriate messages and delivery methods to effectively influence others.The ability to initiate action, make decisions, adapt, drive change, use resources efficiently and solve problems quickly, creatively and practically.The ability to identify needs, shape actions and add value to relationships based on a central focus of customer satisfaction.Qualifications
