Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic IT Business Relationship Manager to join our team and drive the strategic alignment of IT initiatives with business goals. You will initially support Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Office of General Council (OGC), and Enterprise Risk. The IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) will act as the primary liaison between the IT department and business units, ensuring IT services and solutions meet the needs of the business. The BRM will work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements, identify opportunities for technology to enhance business processes, and ensure the successful delivery of IT projects.

This role reports to the Director of IT Strategic Portfolio Management.

Skills & Functions

The IT BRM is expected to identify customer issues and needs through their relationship with the stakeholders and end-users and work with IT Service Owners to develop solutions. You will partner with other BRMs to establish and standardize the processes, steering committees, and governance for program execution, managing roadmaps, and short and long-term strategy planning.

What You Will Do:

Stakeholder Engagement : Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders.

Serve as liaison between the IT department and the business units to ensure IT services align with business outcomes.

Drive customer satisfaction with IT leveraging regular service reviews.

Strategic Alignment : Collaborate with senior management to develop and refine the IT strategy, ensuring it aligns with the overall business strategy.

Develop and maintain an IT roadmap that outlines key initiatives, projects, and timelines aligned with business priorities.

Ensure IT budgets are aligned with strategic priorities and resources are allocated effectively to support key initiatives.

Understand and anticipate business needs, translate them into IT requirements and create project proposals to signal and execute demand.

Portfolio Management : Oversee the IT project portfolio, ensuring projects are prioritized based on their strategic value and alignment with business goals.

Monitor the progress of strategic IT initiatives and provide regular updates to business leaders.

Partner with Project Managers on the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, to ensure projects meet business requirements and are completed on time and within budget.

Contribute to Change Management plans to ensure effective change adoption.

Value Realization : Ensure IT services deliver value to the business.

Drive development of success measures to ensure business value is delivered.

Ensure IT projects deliver the expected business value and contribute to achieving strategic objectives.

Service Management : Partner with IT Service Owners to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and customer satisfaction.

Review customer feedback of IT service performance and optimize support and service processes based on that feedback.

Provide regular reports to IT Management on the performance of the customers’ IT service delivery.

Collaborate with IT technical areas on behalf of the customer regarding issues impacting their business workflow or processes.

Act as an escalation point for IT issues, working with technical teams to resolve problems and minimize business impact.

Identify opportunities for continuous improvements and drive initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT services.

Communication : Facilitate effective communication between IT and business units, ensuring transparency and understanding of IT capabilities and constraints.

What You Will Need:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university plus 10 years of relevant experience

OR

14 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

Ability to obtain a National Security Clearance or a U.S. Federal Government Public Trust.

Strategic thinking and planning abilities.

Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills at senior executive level.

Demonstrated business relationship management and leadership inclusive of roadmap creation and management.

Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

Understanding of IT Infrastructure and application challenges, and opportunities in areas such as Architecture, Infrastructure, Network, IT Service Desk, and IT Asset Management.

Strong business acumen and understanding of business processes in Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Office of General Council (OGC), and Enterprise Risk.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

Experience executing Organizational Change Management.

Knowledge of IT service management (ITIL) and project management methodologies (Project Management Professional, Agile).

Preference will be given to candidates located within 50 miles of Guidehouse office.

The annual salary range for this position is $132,600.00-$198,800.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
