Responsibilities/Duties:

Disseminate information about the university and counsel students and parents during high school visits, college and career fair programs, on-campus visits and events, and via routine phone, email, text and social media outreach.

Visit with high school counselors, teachers, clergy, alumni, and other key influencers to provide information about university programs and services.

Conduct pre-admission interviews and provide secondary school course selection guidance as needed.

Maintain regular pre and post acceptance contact with every prospective student, applicant, and admit a minimum of once every 30 days via phone, email, and other electronic media as appropriate.

Review and assess all admission files, recommending decisions to the Asst. Vice President for all students in assigned territory; personally communicate the decision to each applicant within one working day.

Respond promptly within one working day to all communication from students, parents, counselors, teachers, clergy and other influencers, for all students within the assigned territory.

Provide updated information regarding student financial aid to prospective and admitted students and parents as appropriate during the enrollment cycle.

Assist in organizing individual and group visits to the campus and facilitate the involvement of current students and key faculty in each visit.

Skill Sets:

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication proficiency and strong collaboration skills.

Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Familiarity with and appreciation of higher education values within the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

Ability to engage with LCMS stakeholders and influencers

Provide support to programs and participate in various events and programs targeted specifically to the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) student population

Skilled in working with a wide range of constituents including LCMS students, church professional program, homeschool students and those from traditional as well as classical high school backgrounds.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Must maintain a high level of enthusiasm and energy when working with prospective students.

Strong commitment to a work environment that supports a team concept to attain departmental and institutional goals.

Demonstrated proficiency in all Microsoft Office software.

Ability to work under minimal supervision.

Demonstrated technical skills and ability to review and interpret reports to prioritize work and maximize effectiveness.

Experience working with prospective homeschooled students a plus.

Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours as necessary.

Proven commitment to outstanding quality service to all constituents.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required. Degrees in the area of business, communications, psychology, sociology or related fields are preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting range is dependent upon individual qualifications and experience. Concordia health, disability and retirement plan enrollment is available to full-time employees and their eligible dependents. Tuition benefits may also be available for employees and their qualified dependents.
