May Mobility is looking for a Senior Field Autonomy Applications Engineer who will work closely with cross-functional teams to triage and resolve complex technical issues while effectively communicating their impact across the organization.Additionally, you will play a key role in enhancing internal workflows, using your expertise to develop tools and solutions that drive operational efficiency.The role includes significant travel – up to 50%.Essential Responsibilities
Improve May’s processes and tools for deploying autonomous vehiclesCollaborate with Autonomy, Product Management, and other engineering functions to develop features across May Mobility’s product portfolioBuild tools and features to support and improve Field Engineering workflowsRepresent the company professionally and confidently at public events, engaging with clients, media and other stakeholdersLead and facilitate cross-functional projects in developing product features, tool improvements, and processes for accomplishing customer deliverablesTravel to May Mobility sites to provide hands-on support to technical issues and processes, as well as expert diagnosis, triage, and prioritization of autonomy behaviorsCoordinates and develops the on-site configuration and deployment of autonomous technology in new locationsQualifications and Experience
Candidates most successful in this role typically hold the following qualifications or comparable knowledge or experience:RequiredBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related degreeFamiliarity with principles of mobile roboticsOutstanding oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated hands-on experience developing or editing softwareExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsExperience operating in a Linux environment, including familiarity with common Linux command line utilities or other comparable CLI familiarityWillingness and ability to travel (up to 50%)Ability to operate and drive May Mobility vehiclesValid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving recordWillingness to undergo a driving record checkDesirableMaster’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experiencePrior experience with mobile robotics and/or autonomous vehiclesExperience designing software in C, Python, and/or Bash environmentsExperience handling and creating insights from large data setsExposure to or experience with machine learningExperience in leading teams or managing projectsPhysical Requirements

Travel up to 50%Salary Range$92,000 — $110,000 USD
