The Security Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety of Pebble Beach Company property and the well-being of our guests and employees through management of the Security Department. The Security Manager will ensure that all incident reports are recorded, thoroughly investigated, and completed in a timely manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Enforce safety procedures and write notices of safety hazards.
Identify areas or situations that are unsafe or fail to meet safety codes.
Supervise the work of staff by delegating assignments and checking the quality of completed work.
Counsel, discipline, and provide input for staff evaluations.
Hire, promote, and terminate staff.
Schedule employees, approve overtime.
Enforce and oversee the enforcement of all company policies and procedures.
Attend and actively participate in safety meetings.
Ensure the maintenance of all security equipment.
Control and inventory all back of house keys; account for missing keys.
Maintain good, working relationships with department managers, especially engineering, as well as local authorities, fire, and police departments.
Understand and implement security procedures for emergency situations, including medical emergencies, fires, blackouts, earthquakes, bomb threats and if necessary, evacuation.
Ensure that periodic spot checks are conducted on employees exiting with bags and packages.
Monitor and enforce employee parking rules.
Report security needs or issues to Director of Security and make recommendations for their resolution.
Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.
Maintain supplies and equipment for all Security Gates.
Audit work and revenue performance at each gate.
Hold quarterly trainings for all Officers.
Other duties assigned by the Director of Security
Required Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years’ experience in law enforcement or security, especially in a large resort or other institution.
Good communication and organizational skills as well as attention to detail.
Must possess good judgment to recognize problem situations and have the ability to resolve them.
Knowledge of fire and safety codes.
Ability to use two-way FM radios.
Valid California driver’s license, without restrictions as well as current California Guard card, CPR and first aid certificates.
Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, evening shifts and overtime, as needed
