Please note that this role requires full-time, in-person presence at our Newport Beach, CA location. Remote work options are not available for this position.Responsibilities:
Assist in handling estate planning, trust administration, probate, and conservatorship cases.Prepare necessary documents for court hearings, client files, initial drafts of pleadings, and other legal paperwork.Engage in regular communication with clients, courts, financial advisors, trustees, law firms, and relevant personnel.Manage filing of documents with the Court, serving documents by mail, and coordinating court appearances.Attend client meetings, including those related to Estate Planning signings.Monitor case progress, deadlines, and important milestones diligently.Record information accurately in the law firm’s practice management system.Provide support to the office by answering phones, assisting with special projects, and handling general administrative tasks when required.Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 months of experience working in a law firm.Paralegal Certification or qualify as a paralegal under California Business & Professions Code §6450.Set priorities, manage your own workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment.Excellent communicator and organized with exceptional attention to detail.Computer savvy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (knowledge of Actionstep is a plus!).Reliable commute or will relocate prior to starting position.Compensation:
$22 - $27 hourly DOE
