Litigation Associate Attorney
Join an expanding and reputable Texas law firm specializing in construction defects, real estate transactions, bankruptcy, insurance coverage disputes, and labor and employment law. Situated in Arlington, Austin, or Houston, we are seeking both mid-level and senior Litigation Associate Attorneys to manage and thrive in complex legal environments. Compensation:
$120,000.00 - $150,000.00 plus bonuses ranging from $20,000 to $30,000
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with firm partners to manage all aspects of litigation, from inception through appeal
Perform comprehensive document reviews and detailed legal research to support case strategies
Draft a wide array of legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests, dispositive motions, and responses
Conduct depositions, participate actively in mediations, and engage in court proceedings to advance client interests
Prepare diligently for trials and arbitrations, formulating and executing effective advocacy strategies
Engage with clients regularly to provide updates and strategize on ongoing litigation files
Utilize litigation support tools and technology to enhance efficiency and outcomes in legal proceedings
Minimum Position Qualifications:
At least 4 years of substantive litigation experience with a proven track record of success
Must be licensed to practice law in Texas
Proficient in managing multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience specifically in construction, insurance defense, or real estate law highly desirable
Experience handling large caseloads and prioritizing tasks effectively
Skills:
Strong legal research skills using various research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
Excellent legal writing ability to draft clear and compelling legal documents
Strong negotiation skills to represent clients effectively in settlements and dispute resolutions
Capability to conduct and defend depositions with precision and strategic acumen
Adept at applying litigation technology and software for case management
