SUMMARY:

Responsible for generating top line revenue to meet or exceed budget expectations. Work closely with the General Manager and hotel team to develop and implement effective revenue generating plans.

You are an excellent salesperson with a proven track record in hospitality sales! We are searching for a Director of Sales (DOS) to join our team with your expertise and professional approach. As a Director of Sales, you will be responsible for achieving revenue goals through aggressive and professional sales activities. You will be expected to meet or exceed the budgeted REVPAR (Revenue Per Available Room) goal. Know which market segments produce effective business for the hotel, sources of business for each, and understand how to balance them to maximize revenues. Actively sell, conduct site visits, and provide exceptional service to internal and external guests. Ensure the hotel staff is knowledgeable about all sales programs and key accounts. Produce sales department reports on a timely basis and analyze short-term fluctuations and direct selling activities to maximize revenues.

Fundamental Requirements:

A high school diploma or equivalent education is required, with a college degree helpful. Clear effective verbal and written English communication skills are essential. This position requires excellent organization skills and attention to detail. The ability to operate a telephone, computer, and various software is expected, with Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge. A general understanding of sales operations is also helpful. Comply with all quality and safety standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other job duties as requested by Supervisors.

REQUIREMENTS include:

Good driving record

Reliable transportation

Ability to occasionally travel and overnight for training

Basic computer skills (Word/Excel)

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Working knowledge of Opera PMS

Prior work experience at an IHG branded hotel

Prior hotel sales experience
