The Law Offices of Josephia Rouse, LLC is looking for a highly qualified Legal Administrator to take the reigns and manage the entirety of the family law firm in Rockville, MD, US. This is an amazing opportunity to shape the lives of our staff, clients, the court, and our local community. The Professional Legal Administrator will be responsible for a whole range of tasks, from financial forecasting and personnel coordination to IT and facilities management. This role will include the monitoring and understanding of the evolving requirements of the firm and the identification of strategic planning activities. The Administrator will work in tandem with the Firm's Principal/Owner in order to ensure effective management and marketing, as well as cost-effectiveness in operations throughout the entire organization. In order to thrive in this position, you must be a results-oriented individual who works diligently in order to improve systems and people. We use facts and metrics to drive decision-making, which means no room for popular opinion and emotion.Responsibilities
Developing and managing financial plans, forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses in order to ensure financial viabilityOverseeing human resource management processes, such as recruiting, selecting and training staff, managing salaries and benefits, and resolving personnel issuesImproving systems management to ensure efficient operations such as systems analysis, operational audits, cost/benefit analysis, and computer systems designAdministering facilities-related activities, including space planning and design, purchasing, inventory control, reprographics, records storage, and receiving/switchboard servicesStructuring operational and management practices such as strategic and tactical planning, business development, risk management, and organizational developmentEstablishing and executing practice management initiatives, including attorney recruiting, professional standards, and legal assistant supervisionEstablishing and maintaining a marketing program to enhance the firm's visibility and client profitabilityCultivating a culture that encourages personal growth and developmentQualifications
Knowledge:Ability to work with one management owner.Has knowledge of legal or other professional service organizations and has experience managing business operations such as human resources, technology, facilities, finance, and marketing.Skills and Abilities:Can identify and analyze complex issues and problems in management areas and recommend and implement solutions. Can manage office functions economically and efficiently, organize work, establish priorities, and maintain good interpersonal relations and communications with lawyers and support staff.Displays excellent supervisory and leadership skills.Demonstrates willingness and ability to delegate.Education:Graduation from a recognized college or university with major coursework in business administration or management, finance, human resources, technology or marketing, or comparable work experience.Professional certifications are a plus, including a Certified Legal Manager (CLM) designation.Focus:We are focused on individuals who care about our clients, our community, and our profession and who work every day to ensure that ethos is considered.If this sounds like your job, your team, and you’re qualified for the role, we look forward to talking with you soon!Compensation
