We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented
Scientific Writer
to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical writing skills, an in-depth understanding of scientific concepts, and the ability to translate complex research into clear, accurate, and engaging content. You will work closely with scientists, researchers, and subject matter experts to create a wide variety of content including research papers, grant proposals, review articles, white papers, and technical reports.As a
Scientific Writer , you will play a key role in advancing our research projects by ensuring that findings are communicated effectively and compellingly, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge and supporting scientific innovation.Responsibilities:Collaborate with researchers and scientists to gather information, data, and results necessary for scientific publications and reports.Write, edit, and proofread manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to publication standards.Develop content for grant proposals, ensuring alignment with funding guidelines and program requirements.Prepare and edit technical reports, white papers, review articles, and research summaries for a wide range of audiences.Maintain a strong understanding of the latest scientific literature in relevant fields to ensure up-to-date and accurate content.Translate complex scientific data into clear and accessible language for diverse audiences, including policymakers, stakeholders, and the general public.Work with the communications team to generate content for web, social media, and press releases that highlight the organization's scientific achievements.Ensure that all scientific content follows ethical guidelines, plagiarism standards, and best practices for citations and references.Manage multiple writing projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and quality standards.Qualifications:Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a relevant scientific field (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, or a related discipline).Proven experience as a scientific writer or in a similar role within academia, industry, or government.Strong knowledge of scientific research methodologies, statistical analysis, and experimental design.Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style to different types of content and audiences.Proficiency in creating content for peer-reviewed journals, technical reports, grant proposals, and other scientific documents.Familiarity with citation styles (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.) and experience using reference management tools (e.g., EndNote, Zotero).Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all written materials.Familiarity with scientific software and tools for data visualization is a plus.Preferred Skills:Experience working within a specific scientific field (e.g., biomedical research, environmental science, AI/ML, etc.).Experience with publishing platforms and submission processes for scientific journals.Knowledge of grant writing processes and successful grant proposal submissions.How to Apply:Submit your resume by completing your profile and portfolio on Ferct, showcasing examples of your previous work.Include a brief cover letter outlining your motivation and experience related to this position.If you have the skills and experience to excel as a Scientific Writer, we'd love to hear from you.
