Summary:The Scientific Writer should have excellent research and communication skills. This is a technical and administrative role working across multiple departments – which requires effective written and verbal communication, especially in scientific reports and grant proposals. This person will support research and product development activities by creating various types of content, including research papers, grant proposals, technical reports, and regulatory documents.
Responsibilities:
Research grant opportunities from government and non-government agencies.
Draft grant proposals and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of the organization.
Submit proposals to grant coordinators for approval.
Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted proposals.
Maintain positive relationships with fund providers and other stakeholders.
Maintain records and submit reports related to grant opportunities.
Produce clear, accurate and engaging scientific documents.
Collaborate closely with scientists, researchers, and all stakeholders to ensure that complex scientific information is effectively communicated to a range of audiences.
Required Skills:
Education/Experience:
BS or advanced degree (PhD with post-doc experience) and 2+ years of academic research experience.
Strong publication record and grants awarded in academic research.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
