BRIEF POSTING DESCRIPTION:

JOB FUNCTION:
Develops and administers programs and projects related to Corporate Health & Wellness. Emphasis is on creating a culture of health & well-being to improve employee and organizational health including employee engagement, contract administration, regulatory affairs, budget and other functions to align with business objectives and corporate strategy. Supports the Corporate Health & Wellness manager in a broad range of responsibilities while collaborating with other departments. Complies with applicable federal and state laws including EEOC, HIPAA, DOT, OSHA and company health and safety policies and practices, etc.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Develops and manages the Company’s health and wellness programs to include while ensuring compliance with all provisions of State and Federal laws and regulations. Serves as the team expert and works cross-functionally within the organization. Responsible for scheduling of random drug testing and case management initiation and follow up. Identifies issues of concern and stays current with trends relating to substance abuse and compliance issues. Develops and delivers training to ensure compliance with all program requirements.
Recommends and assists in the development and implementation of the Company’s health and wellness program utilizing creative design to maximize employee participation and engagement. Responds as necessary to any medical related inquiry or situation including coordinating appropriate care, and treatment as needed. Conducts various presentations and trainings for employees, management and other key stakeholders as required. Creates and updates health education displays and materials in a manner which promotes healthy behaviors. Analyzes data, prepares reports and develops surveys based on employee feedback, interest, and utilization; and makes recommendations for programs/activities in support of health and wellness initiatives.
Assists with preparing notices and ensuring company-wide communication is professional and appropriate, distributing information and materials to departments/employees, researching, analyzing, and developing communications and web-based information that support programs, including preparing other communications and reports to employees and management as required.
Responsible for the recordkeeping and compliance reporting functions of Corporate Health & Wellness, updating and maintaining files and official records.
Coordinates and works with manager on budget formulation and implementation. This includes updating and maintaining the budget files, preparing reports for management review, and supporting other requests for financial information.
Assist manager in responding to medical emergencies (i.e. pandemic preparedness, incident command situations, Point of Distribution program) including co-serving as Medical Unit Leader. Responds to medical emergencies, providing appropriate care as necessary.
Participates in Company emergency response activities as assigned, including any activities required to prepare for such emergency response.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge Requirements
A degree or professional certification in Public Health, Nursing, Social Work, Counseling, or Human Resources, or equivalent work experience. Demonstrated knowledge of training techniques, team building techniques and technical assistance resources.
Demonstrated knowledge of communication and information dissemination techniques; understanding of the ways people communicate, listen, learn and react.
Demonstrated familiarity and working knowledge of key community health organizations and general business practices.
Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, rules and regulations pertaining to employee health or healthcare service delivery systems to include key community organizations and resources.
Working knowledge of budgeting concepts and forecasting processes.
Strong working knowledge of personal computers and related software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, web research, etc.
Demonstrated understanding of individual, group, and organizational behavior.

Experience Requirements
Multiple years (5-7 years) of professional experience in a fast-paced office or clinical environment. A bachelor’s degree in the fields listed may be used to satisfy 4 years of professional experience; an Associate’s degree or professional certification may be used to in the fields listed may be used to satisfy 2 years of professional experience.
Several (3-5 years) experience in a healthcare related field.
Several years (3-5) experience in strategic planning, program development, delivery, and evaluation of programs desirable.
