Join us and play an important part on our incredible team!Job Overview:Enthusiastically represents United Parks & Resorts by displaying a positive attitude, maintaining a high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.Plan and execute events at SeaWorld and Sesame Place including VIP parties, Sales events, Influencer events, Media events, Pass Member events, launches and more.Support additional onsite event needs as necessary for Sales team including client events, field trips and more.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Events:Plan and execute events at SeaWorld and Sesame Place including VIP parties, Sales events, Influencer events, Media events, Pass Member events, launches and more.Act as the inter-departmental event liaison between Sales and Marketing, Catering, Operations, Security and more.Develop event plans, BEOs and event recaps.Act as the onsite lead at events, which may include morning, evening and weekends.Liaison with Creative teams for event signage, collateral and other needs.Keep track of Events signage, photography assets, and more.Support additional onsite event needs as necessary for Sales team including client events, field trips and more.Develop creative special event ideas and keep abreast of the latest event trends.Community Relations:Create and execute a community relations strategy with a focus on public and private school outreach, environmental, animal care and sustainability focused organizations, public interest groups for SeaWorld San Diego and Sesame Place San Diego.Coordinate and lead logistics related to offsite community relations in San Diego, Chula Vista, Orange County, Los Angeles and more.Review and manage incoming community relation requests.Lead all administrative tasks around community relations.Manage and update database of community relations contacts, including developing new contact lists.Qualifications:At least two years’ experience related to special events, hospitality industry and communication or equivalent related experience.Have and maintain a valid driver’s license. Able to meet all the requirements to drive SeaWorld vehicles.At least 18 years old.Education:Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, and/or combined equivalent of education and experience.Competencies:Exceptional organization and communication skills; able to read, write and speak English.Thinks quickly on their feet.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Outlook).Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills, with the ability to convey important ideas and concepts to different audiences clearly and persuasively, especially to senior management, top executives from key accounts, and hospitality industry leadership in group settings and able to adapt communication styles.Must be able to function effectively as part of a collaborative team, as well as work independently, to meet deadlines.Project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.Strong presentation skills.Ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects to completions while seizing emerging opportunities.Ability to multi-task, meet stringent deadlines, and work in a fast-paced, team selling environment.Positive and enthusiastic demeanor to set example to the park staff on how to champion the organization.Availability:Available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours, i.e. be able to work opening and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and Holidays.Part-Time may be scheduled up to 28 hours per week.Compensation:
