We are looking for a
Director, Marketing Communications
to join the Business Applications & Platform product marketing team.
In this role, you will lead portfolio-wide communications and shape the narrative for the holistic business, including helping business leaders understand how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming business processes. You will play a critical role in connecting the narrative across the broader Microsoft portfolio in collaboration with teams in product marketing, engineering as well as public and analyst relations to deliver consistently impactful and differentiated messaging and content.
The ideal candidate will have effective writing and communication skills, ability to create influential thought leadership, and the capacity to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Lead portfolio-wide communications strategy and content across the Business Applications & Platform (Dynamics 365 and Power Platform Customer Solution Area) portfolio to create a unified narrative including establishing and maintaining a consistent tone, voice and style that resonates with the target audiences and is consistent with Microsoft’s brand.
Drive thought leadership around how AI is transforming business processes.
Create content across multiple formats and channels, such as blogs, podcasts, whitepapers, eBooks, infographics, social media, etc.
Lead Dynamics 365 blog editorial calendar including strategy, content creation and execution.
Develop portfolio-wide earnings script including concise narration around business performance and strategy in partnership with cross-functional teams.
Partner with Analyst Relations (AR) and Public Relations (PR) teams on strategy and content creation including disclosures.
Partner across the broader Modern Work + Business Applications team across all workstreams to drive alignment and ensure cohesiveness and consistency.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business
OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in business
OR equivalent experience.
6+ years of experience in content marketing, thought leadership, or editorial roles, preferably in the technology industry.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 12+ years experience in business
OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years marketing or sales experience
OR equivalent experience.
Effective writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a portfolio of published content that demonstrates your ability to take the pen and craft compelling narratives.
Experience designing and implementing integrated marketing strategies that align messaging across multiple channels, including digital, social, print, etc.
Demonstrated business acumen and understanding of Microsoft’s products as well as the market.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic and matrixed environment.
Ability to simplify the complex and identify opportunities to create scalable systems / processes to drive improvement.
Product Marketing IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $248,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $268,900 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
