The primary responsibilities of this position will include developing and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in data analytics, as well as teaching core graduate and undergraduate courses in the candidate’s areas of specialty within applied microeconomics. Faculty responsibilities also include contributing to the supervision of undergraduate and graduate research. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing scholarship commensurate with the requirements for tenure. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to and participate in the life and development of the department, advise students, serve on committees, and participate in the broader University and disciplinary or local communities.Required QualificationsA completed Ph.D. degree in Economics at the start of the appointment;Expertise in applying econometrics, machine learning, and big data techniques to Applied Microeconomic questions;Potential to publish academic research in leading journals;A commitment to high-quality teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels and an interest in teaching a diverse student body, including first-generation college students.ApplicationA complete online application must be received by electronic submission to be considered.
