L.A. Care’s mission is to provide access to quality health care for Los Angeles County's vulnerable and low-income communities.The Community Resource Center (CRC) Specialist III builds and maintains meaningful relationships with community members, L.A. Care departments, partner health plans, and community-based agencies. This role leads outreach initiatives to increase member traffic at the CRC, connecting community members to health education programs and resources. Acts as a liaison for CRC marketing and promotional initiatives, implements processes for member service support, and provides consultation on health care access issues.Duties

Outreach and Engagement:

(25%) Builds relationships with stakeholders, assesses community needs, and implements engagement activities to increase member traffic at the CRC.Cross-Collaboration:

(25%) Oversees community initiatives, promoting access to health care programs and educating L.A. Care departments on relevant services.Implementing Strategic Initiatives:

(20%) Leads special projects, monitors risks, and maintains documentation of project deliverables.High-Touch Customer Focus:

(15%) Provides in-person service and supports extended-hour schedules to assist members.Day-to-Day Representation:

(15%) Coordinates member-centric customer service, creates resource guides, and identifies member needs.Performs other duties as assigned. (10%)Education Required

Associate's Degree or equivalent education/experience.Education Preferred

Bachelor's DegreeExperience

Required:At least 1 year of community work in health care, public health, or health education, or operations work experience with community events.Preferred:Minimum of 3 years experience with database software and reporting processes.Skills

Required:Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, collaborative, and enthusiastic.Preferred:Experience with Salesforce CRM platform.Licenses/Certifications Required

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and California Mandated Reporter within 90 days of hire.Licenses/Certifications Preferred

Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training.Physical Requirements
