The Regional Safety Manager is responsible for managing the development and consistent implementation of safety, security, and environmental compliance programs.RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinates contact post-award pre-mobilization activities including but not limited to:Coordination of EHS management tool trainingInitiation and tracking of orientation process.Sends out updates and approvals of received pre-mobilization documentation to sites and upper management.Sends out templates to aid in subcontractor mobilization.Initiation of outsourcing of EHS contractors.Coordinates 2-week training for New EHS hires.Assists coordinator(s) in document control and developmentOversee all aspects of a commercial construction project ensuring OSHA compliance.Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigationsOversee all subcontractors and contractors.Update corporate and site specific EHS dashboards.Oversees all EHS metrics and will send out reports on a routine basis.Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in safety and health or equivalent experience, required5+ years of EH&S compliance experience, required1+ years of managerial experience leading teamsCertification such as CSP, CHST, OHST CIH, or CHMM, preferredAdditional Information
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIESThorough understanding of all relevant safety rules and regulationsAdvance knowledge of constructions safety standardsExceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate employees to achieve long term vision while adjusting to daily challenges.Ability to challenge, explain, and defend safety programs with diplomacy.Excellent organizational skills with high level of attention to detail.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills and ability to coach and train others.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
