Payroll Manager
will manage the payroll process, which includes the team that administers the duties, the systems used and the integrity of the data.We encourage candidates with lived experience to apply. This position is hybrid-eligible.Pay : $75,000-80,000/salary DOE15 days of earned PTO your first year, 12 company holidays + 2 floating holidays.Early close Fridays - 3 paid hours off early each Friday.Health, dental (adult and child orthodontia included), vision, and pet insurance.Employer paid life insurance.403b + match, paid volunteer time, and more.Duties:Oversee the bi-weekly processing of multi-state payroll, including processing of approved time sheets, paid time off requests, and data validation, to ensure employees are paid correctly and in a timely manner.Lead the implementation projects of payroll system enhancements and written policies and procedures.Maintain the validation and recording of all payroll related deductions and changes.Supervise all payroll staff, including hiring, training, coaching, audit and manage work and performance.Oversee the bi-weekly reporting and billing of all payroll related expenses to the General Ledger and other departments.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Five (5) years of experience managing payroll; with at least two years of experience managing multi-state payroll.Preferred Qualifications:Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)Knowledge and Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computerized accounting applications.Communicate clearly and relate effectively with others.Mercy Housing is a fair chance employer; while we conduct background checks for all positions, we will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
