We are currently seeking a motivated Senior Systems Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense and Anti-Subsurface Warfare Trainer (CIAT) Test Engineer to join our team in King George, VA. This is an On-Site position.Responsibilities
Provide technical, engineering, and analytical services for Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense and Anti-Subsurface Warfare Trainer (CIAT); you will provide technical, engineering, and analytical services for Test and Evaluation (T&E). The T&E effort supports the government’s responsibility to determine if the combat system is ready to be delivered to the ship and certified for use in the fleet.Conduct Combat Systems Computer Software Certification Testing, Systems Operations, Data Analysis, and resolve Test Observation Report (TOR) issues.Operate AEGIS Combat Systems proficiently to ensure smooth operations and readiness.Manage and operate the Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense and Anti-Submarine Warfare Trainer (CIAT) effectively.Provide operational support throughout the development and testing phases of the CIAT system.Execute system testing on the Trainer, identifying and addressing technical issues encountered during testing.Support Warfare Acceptance Test events for CIAT conducted by the AEGIS Training and Readiness Center (ATRC) and Navy personnel.Troubleshoot issues associated with AEGIS baseline 6 through 9 systems and configure and maintain the Operating Systems (OS) for Baselines 6 and above.Minimum Qualifications
Eight (8) years of experience in engineering, design, development, or testing and evaluation of Navy combat systems.Five (5) years of specific experience in test requirements definition, test plan/procedures development, test data reduction/analysis, and computer program performance analysis/reporting.Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent Navy Operational Combat Systems experience.Travel approximately 20% to various locations, primarily Norfolk, VA, Corona, CA, and San Diego, CA, to support test events, and requires short notice travel flexibility.Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with combat systems engineering or test and evaluation.Familiarity with US Navy operations and chain of command.Solid written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.Clearance Requirements
Must be a US Citizen and hold an active Secret clearance.Physical Requirements
Ability to remain stationary 50% of the time, working at a desk or computer terminal.Occasionally, move about inside the office to access file cabinets and office machinery or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers via email, phone, or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
