What You’ll Do
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Strategic Finance & Corporate FP&A to join our leadership team at CoreWeave. This role is crucial in guiding our financial strategy and enhancing our financial planning and analysis (FP&A) capabilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a high-growth tech startup environment, demonstrating a proven ability to lead FP&A functions and drive strategic financial initiatives. This position reports directly to the CFO and will work closely with executive leadership to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
Executive Reporting and Analysis: Develop comprehensive documentation and narratives for executive-level and Board of Directors financial presentations, standard monthly and quarterly close reports, and detailed annual budgeting documents, ensuring clarity and strategic insights for key stakeholders.Leadership in Financial Planning: Spearhead the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range strategic planning processes, ensuring alignment with CoreWeave’s overall business objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business unit finance teams, to incorporate their insights into financial planning.Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner closely with the Accounting, Data & Analytics, and Corporate Development teams to enhance the quality and effectiveness of management reporting, operational performance tracking, and financial metrics analysis.Tool Optimization and Reporting Enhancements: Drive continuous improvement in FP&A reporting and planning tools, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the organization and enhance decision-making capabilities.Forecasting and Model Maintenance: Oversee the development and maintenance of financial forecast models, budget models, and databases. Ensure rigorous analysis and accuracy in financial projections on a project-by-project basis.Comprehensive Financial Reporting: Generate detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on financial performance, including budget variance analysis, scenario analysis, stress testing, and KPI results. Effectively communicate findings to executive leadership, board members, and other key stakeholders.Strategic Project Support: Collaborate with the CFO, other C-suite executives, and the Corporate Development team on high-impact projects, including large-scale capital markets initiatives and fundraising strategies. Provide financial insights and analysis to support critical business decisions.KPI Development and Reporting: Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial and operational success. Regularly report on KPI performance to executive leadership, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.Process Improvement in Accounting: Work with the Accounting team to enhance accounting and reporting processes, ensuring compliance and efficiency in financial operations.
Who You Are
A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; an MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.8+ years of experience in FP&A or strategic finance, with a minimum of 4 years in a leadership role within a tech startup or high-growth environment. Prior experience in investment banking or a related field is highly desirable.Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting; experience with financial planning software and tools. Familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus.Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong capacity to clearly present complex financial information.Proven ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations to drive strategic initiatives.Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of building effective relationships across diverse teams and functions.
