Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant/CPA to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with experience in various financial services sectors.
Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
Conduct month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders
Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial data
Perform budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Handle accounts payable functions and ensure timely payments
Oversee accounts receivable functions and ensure timely billing
Prepare company tax returns
Conduct detailed account analysis and provide recommendations based on findings
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA certification preferred
Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role
In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Experience with Sage 300 Accounting software and QuickBooks online
Familiarity with double-entry bookkeeping principles
Experience in payroll, private equity, and corporate finance
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Experience with intercompany accounting practices
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
