Salary Range:
$55,000-$65,000 The
Billing Specialist
will support accounts receivable processes, helping to ensure payments are processed accurately and timely. Responsibilities: Invoicing: Assisting in the creation and distribution of invoices to payers. This involves ensuring that invoices are accurate, include all necessary information, and are sent out in a timely manner. Billing Reconciliation: Assisting with end-of-month bill processing Billing Inquiries: Responding to client inquiries related to their bills, invoices, and statements. This may involve explaining charges, fees, and payment details. Payment Processing: Assisting clients with making payments, setting up payment plans, and addressing issues related to payment methods, such as credit card transactions or electronic funds transfers. Billing Disputes: Investigating and resolving billing disputes and discrepancies. This can include researching client accounts and working with other departments to rectify errors. Account Maintenance: Updating client account information, including address changes, contact details, and payment preferences. Communication: Communicating with clients via phone, email, or chat to address their concerns and provide timely and accurate information. Qualifications: Associates Degree in healthcare, business, or related to field, Bachelors Degree preferred. 5 years of experience with healthcare billing/medical office required, preferably with
HHAeXchange Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Microsoft Excel. Experience with pivot tables preferred. Proficiency in using billing software systems specific to home care services, electronic health records (EHR), and other healthcare technology tools.
