About the Role:This position is responsible for various finance tasks supporting the Everest Group Claims organization including budgeting, staffing decisions, disciplined expense management, enhancing claims financial controls, special projects, and strategic initiatives. The role will assist the Claims organization in delivering business plans and support critical decision-making towards delivering planned performance.
Key Accountabilities:
Ownership of the claims budgeting, forecasting and planning process, develop and coordinate the annual planning cycle for Global Claims.
Ensuring robust and efficient processes are in place and continuous improvement of planning and forecasting staff and expense.
Deliver Monthly and Quarterly reporting including plan vs actual comparison of results and commentary.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial planning processes and procedures to support organizational goals and objectives.
Proven experience in aligning financial plans with strategic initiatives and providing insights on potential risks and opportunities.
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills to support effective decision-making.
Ability to formulate financial strategies, evaluate investment opportunities, design and track ROI measurement, and present recommendations to senior management.
Excellent organization and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Work with Claims Vendor Management to support vendor Financial Due Diligence processes.
Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing business environments and priorities.
Flexibility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic organization.
Develop and maintain strong relationships across the organization across Finance, Claims and Underwriting.
Professional Experience & Skills:
FP&A experience gained within the insurance industry with a good understanding of insurance accounting and headcount modeling.
Qualified Accountant or equivalent, 10+ years’ experience.
Experience and expertise in detailed analytical analysis summarizing for executive committees.
Excellent business acumen.
Good working knowledge of Anaplan an advantage.
Understanding of financial systems and processes.
Highly collaborative and able to work effectively across the organization.
Able to solve complex problems.
Excellent communication (written and oral) and stakeholder management skills.
Strong influencing and interpersonal skills.
A demonstrable ability to prioritize, multi-task and work to tight deadlines both on own and through management of others.
Ability to challenge and drive forward change.
