Position Overview:This role involves overseeing the finance function of the organization, managing a team, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee 5 direct reports and their respective work functions.Ensure adherence to financial, budgetary, and accounting practices, as well as internal controls.Prepare, analyze, and report financial statements.Conduct operations and capital budgeting and financial forecasting.Monitor grants and ensure compliance.Manage capital assets.Oversee municipal bond structuring and issuance.Handle cash and investment management.Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Government Accounting Standards.Stay informed of laws, regulations, and rules governing governmental agency accounting and finance functions.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field from an accredited college or university.A minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in managing and controlling an organization’s finance function.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification; an MBA or advanced degree in the field is preferred.Job Type:
