IP Litigation - Associate (Location Flexible)
Join a prestigious international law firm recognized within the AmLaw 50, seeking a talented and motivated Associate for our IP Litigation Group. This role offers the flexibility to work from major cities such as Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, New York, and Washington, D.C. As an associate, you will handle high-profile intellectual property cases, bringing your technical and legal expertise to the forefront of complex litigation cases across various jurisdictions. This position offers a dynamic work environment where you will collaborate with a team of expert IP attorneys dedicated to upholding the highest standards of service and excellence in the field.
Compensation:
$310,000.00 - $420,000.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Engage in high-stakes intellectual property litigation across various jurisdictions.
Work collaboratively within a team of skilled IP attorneys.
Manage complex litigation cases, leveraging technical expertise and legal acumen.
Participate in all phases of litigation including trial preparation, strategy development, and execution.
Analyze technological patents and other complex intellectual property materials.
Interact with clients to provide updates, strategic advice, and to manage their expectations and concerns.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
3-5 years of experience in intellectual property litigation.
Admitted to practice in at least one state, preferably within the location applying to.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
An undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is highly desirable.
Experience with patent litigation in federal courts or before the USPTO.
Admission to the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is a plus.
Previous experience in a large law firm environment.
Familiarity with software and emerging technologies.
Skills:
Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once while maintaining strict attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both colleagues and clients.
Advanced research and analytical skills to contribute to complex cases.
Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong commitment to professional client service excellence.
