Job Summary

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), has been at the forefront of addressing health care disparities and community health needs, while promoting diversity and inclusion among its students, trainees, staff, and faculty. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, this position provides high-level executive administrative support to the Vice Chancellor, Diversity and Outreach. In addition, this position will manage the office environment ensuring compliance with internal controls and practices. This position also provides high-level administrative support for initiatives and special projects, including oversight and management of annual and special events and planning and diversity committees. The incumbent serves as a key liaison with various offices and stakeholders on a wide range of issues, including handling highly confidential materials and situations.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related area and minimum three years of experience or equivalent experience/training.

Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.

Ability to work effectively with diverse and multi-cultural constituencies.

Demonstrated ability to handle confidential, highly sensitive situations with respect and good judgment.

Demonstrated ability to negotiate with individuals at all levels on sensitive matters.

Demonstrated executive support experience, including management of complex calendars and competing meeting requests.

Demonstrated ability to utilize events and assessment tools to track participants and make recommendations for process improvement.

Demonstrated experience in overseeing and managing large scale events and programs.

Demonstrated experience in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks with attention to detail.

Knowledge of relevant organizational systems and policies.

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling tools.

Demonstrated experience in managing diversity-related programs and events.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of UC and UCSF organization as well as UC policies and procedures.

Demonstrated executive support experience at UCSF or another UC campus.
