The Horticulture Specialist will manage the design, maintenance, and health of landscapes, gardens, and nurseries at the Titleist Performance Institute. This position will work with an array of plant species in a diverse horticultural setting with an eye for design and beautification.Qualifications/Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Certification through ASHS highly preferred. Must have a pesticide license or certification from the California Department of Pesticide Regulation. Chemical applicators license and ornamental horticulture experience required.Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional horticulture and/or landscape environment. Strong working knowledge of various plant species, soil composition, pest management, and sustainable landscaping techniques. Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve issues as they arise. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and within the vision for the landscape property. Experience working within a team environment, must possess good communication and interpersonal skills working with various stakeholders and potential vendors. Must have strong attention to detail.Responsibilities:Landscape Management:
Facilitate the planning, installation, and ongoing care of plants, gardens, nurseries, etc. to ensure the landscape is in pristine condition and create an environment where plants can flourish.Plant Health Monitoring:
Diagnose plant health issues and develop treatment plans for disease control, pest management, and overall plant vitality.Soil and Fertilization Management:
Conduct soil tests and determine proper adjustments and fertilization schedules to promote optimal plant health.Horticulture Design:
With oversight by the Superintendent, collaborate with landscape designers and specialists to create an aesthetically pleasing, functional, and sustainable green space to complement the golf landscape.Application Instructions:
