VOALA offers competitive medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSEAs part of the HR Service Team, the HR Associate I position is a vital resource for the Human Resources department, performing the full spectrum of the Employment/Onboarding of new employees. Additionally, this role performs a variety of human resources functions, including compensation, benefits, employee relations, compliance, and other HR processes.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupports HR Service Team: performs triage on incoming calls directing calls to appropriate HR support; performs employee onboarding tasks and assists new employee orientation.Works in support of HR Department in general, as well as assisting the Benefits, Classification & Compensation, Compliance, and Employee Relations efforts.Conducts employment, degree, and eligibility verification of applicants and transfer/reclassification requests; maintains and tracks records of other employment compliance requirements (background checks, TB screening, licensing, credentials, etc.).Other duties as may be required.QualificationsREQUIREMENTS:Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment, and education verifications.EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (4 years).EXPERIENCE:Minimum of one year of related HR work experience.Volunteers of America is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
