The VP of Information Technology provides ongoing analysis, planning, management, and oversight of the credit union's technology infrastructure, communication systems and business applications to help support the overall strategic plan of the organization. Responsible for planning and ensuring business recovery, guarding against security breaches and implementing security techniques with the credit union. Ensure that members and staff receive prompt, high quality service via all electronic and alternative delivery systems. Develop strategic plans and budget for the Information Technology Department while reporting to our Chief Innovation Officer.

Requirements:

Ensure management and leadership oversight to include budgeting, monitoring, performance management. Develops and accomplish CU's long term strategic implementation plan and respective objectives, strategies, and projects. Sets the short and long term technology objectives while providing the management necessary to achieve revenue growth and other goals and objectives of the organization through technology. Evaluate business needs, objectives, and goals, researching products available and designating procedures and systems to best meet those needs.

Manage business intelligence and data analytics over multiple transactional systems for enterprise reporting and analysis.

Oversee and manage all phases of systems design, programming, networking, installation, and operation. Review and evaluate project feasibility studies based on management’s requirements, priorities, and cost constraints.

Develop, implement and maintain complete computer security and loss prevention controls.

Research, evaluate and recommend purchases and contracts regarding internal and external information processing hardware systems and software applications. Monitor and compare pricing to ensure the best use of resources along with reliable vendor service.

Implement electronic service delivery and communication channels. Coordinates with other departments and vendors the installation and system integration of new delivery and communication channels. Manages on-going delivery channel support, measurement and reporting. Ensure that electronic service delivery is in compliance with rules and regulations.

Assists with the developing, maintain and testing compliant Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans.

Develop, implement and maintain IT policies and procedures. Ensure that all manuals are updated.

Provide support, training, mentoring and coaching for the IT department staff. Performs performance appraisals, establishes goals and action plans, and sets up performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions. Makes hiring, firing, and promotion decisions. Creates opportunities for employee development.

Qualifications:

Eight to ten years of similar or related experience.

Understanding of credit union or financial institution business, operations, information needs in order to develop and maintain technology systems and business software applications.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong project management and personnel management abilities.

Typically, on-call 24 hours, 7 days a week. Upgrades of hardware and software often required to be accomplished over weekends and during early morning hours. Must be available, or make other arrangements, to ensure response at any hour to resolve system problems.

This is a full-time, exempt position with a starting annual pay of $170,000.00, depending on experience, education and qualifications.
