Summary

The RF Applications Engineering Co-Op role sits within an existing applications team supporting Skyworks IoT and Broad Market products which are sold to customers around the world. The Co-Op will join a highly trained and motivated team of applications engineers based in Woburn, Massachusetts. The Co-Op will be exposed to many different technical disciplines through their real-world projects and tasks, such as semiconductor technologies, packaging technology, RF test engineering, ATE test engineering, semiconductor qualifications, and system engineering, just to name a few.

Job Responsibilities

Assist Applications team with customer specific testing across frequency and power levelsRun product simulations in ADS to assist customers with optimizing their system with Skyworks productsEvaluate portfolio products listed above on custom designed evaluation boardsWork with RF Designers, Project managers, and Product Engineers as part of new product developmentAssist in product documentationCreate customer presentations explaining complex conceptsUtilize various RF tools to conduct RF measurements in an engineering lab environment

Job Requirements

Currently enrolled in an MS or BA/BS program studying Electrical Engineering, or similarMust be returning to school following this Co-Op assignmentAble to commit to the Winter/Spring Co-Op program which runs from January 2025 to June 2025 (6 months)Successfully completed at least one course in RF / Microwave Technology or Wireless TechnologiesExposure to and experience with using ADS simulation toolExperience with VNA's, spectrum analyzers, noise figure meters, power meters, etc.Interest in the RF/Microwave/Antenna/Wireless Technology fieldProficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OutlookExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
