Not only will you get to know how things work in the industry, but you will also accumulate advanced technical knowledge and skills, valuable experience as well as explore full-time job opportunities at Skyworks.The individual chosen for this position will be part of the engineering test team responsible for characterizing parts in the Woburn lab. The selected candidate will test parts in the characterization lab, configure test stations, analyze data, and prepare reports. Also, as a member of the team, you will be involved in improving the current RF test systems hardware and software. The successful candidate will be an effective problem solver, proactive process owner, and insightful test program developer.Responsibilities:
In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:Working with experienced engineers to test RF products such as LNA, RF switches, Couplers, and integrated front-end modules.Measuring RF products’ performance across supply, temperature, and frequency.Creating compliance matrices against spec, plotting results, and analyzing data.Participating and presenting in data reviews.Troubleshooting and resolving test/bench or technical issues.Collaborating with other engineers and technicians.Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in electrical engineering pursuing BS or MS degree and must be returning to school after the completion of this Co-Op (will not consider graduated students).Must have the ability to do a Co-Op term of 6 months prior to graduation within the following time frames of Winter/Spring 2025 Co-Op Term (Jan 2025 – June 2025).Familiarity with RF bench testing.Must be proactive and improve test benches and provide feedback for test procedures and test programs.Knowledge of RF test equipment: multi-meter, Oscilloscope, Signal Generators, Power meter, etc.Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.Ability to understand schematics and diagrams.Must have a team-oriented attitude, accountability, and ownership.Understanding of RF Technology.The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on the level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
