Responsibilities include Voice, Firewalls, LANs (switching, Wi-Fi and routing), WANs (global MPLS), internet and connectivity to our offshore vessels and remote locations via VSAT, LTE, Radio Link and Inmarsat technologies.Job DescriptionKey Roles & ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement and manage highly available global network environment. Ensure quality of service for world-wide network end-to-end, including corporate, field office, rig environments and cloud.Manage a team of highly technical staff and consultants, maintaining standards for implementation, support and communication to ensure continuity of high-quality services.Stay abreast of changing network and communications technology and service trends, with specific focus on technologies impacting communications for our offshore fleet.Engage with management and business users to stay aligned with organizational and project needs and deliver service ensuring initiatives stay on time and on-budget.Develop processes and procedures to ensure secure, high availability and high performance of networks and communication for a global organization.Plan and manage network capacity to ensure that resources are allocated effectively to meet organizational needs.Manage network hardware life cycles end-to-end, including technology evaluation & product selection, procurement, service delivery and refresh cycles.Manage vendor relationships, optimize support, license, maintenance, and subscription agreements.Coordinate support efforts for outsourced 3rd parties and act as internal escalation into IT management and technical resources.If you want to push yourself to great achievement, let Transocean develop your career.
