Job SummaryFully responsible for providing finance support to the Supervisor Projects Accounting regarding cost control and accounting of Projects , this includes supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting of same to operations/projects stake holders . This applies to high cost upgrade and repair projects as well as project pools and related overhead cost centers, all to be done in compliance with company's policies, procedures and SOx Controls regardless of project location (could be in Shipyard location, offshore or under Mobilization).

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Support the processing of all managed Project Authorizations (PAs) to ensure accuracy of project type, cost classification, entity, contract, and workflow value. Download, review and reconcile, the Project Costing Pivot table as required, support Supervisor Projects Accounting to track and monitor project cost progress throughout the projects Total events.Support the Supervisor Projects Accounting to efficiently complete month end closing including transactions for cost reclassification, accruals, allocation and deferrals for Various Projects and highly populated project pools and related overhead cost centers.Support the compilation of Monthly Projects, Projects Pools and Project Overheads Budget variance (Budvar) analysis for transmission to Supervisor Projects Accounting inclusive of applicable variance explanations/notes in accordance with month end timetable and structure.Assist Supervisor Projects Accounting in conducting regular project cost tracking reviews (with Project Managers and project team), assist in preparation of projects financial performance to executive management.Support Supervisor Projects Accounting to ensure preparation of accurate project financial hand-over package in line with our policies. Coordinate with operations and projects to conduct the final financial hand-over meeting and close out of the project.Support Supervisor Projects Accounting in relation to Quarterly forecast and annual budget preparation for project pools (highly populated) and related assigned overhead cost centers as well as assisting project teams during the quarterly forecast and annual budget preparation.Support Supervisor Projects Accounting with the Monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance with internal SOx and assist with review, investigation, and compilation of relevant feedback to audit requests (Internal and External).Perform monthly reconciliation and analysis of assigned balance sheet accounts.Compile, maintain and file project-related records, including project logs, stage gate presentations, various shipyard location information, local tax regulations, newbuild historical details.Ad Hoc requests and analysis as required by supervisor to support role and business.Education:
Bachelor's Degree; College educated as a minimum with Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.Experience:
Minimum Required: 5 years accounting experience.Preferred Level: 5+ years Project cost accounting experience and shipyard related knowledge.Skills:
Minimum Required: Good communication and strong organizational skills. This position requires the ability to work on various priority tasks simultaneously and complete them efficiently. Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office and book-keeping.Preferred Level: Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge. ERP knowledge is a plus.Pre-Requisite/ Qualification:
Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screen.Must successfully complete pre-employment background check.
