This person will be responsible for creating and implementing successful strategies to achieve our government services business objectives. This position reports to the VP of Global Affairs and is eligible for remote work across the United States.What you will do:
Day-to-day representation as it pertains to Defense authorization and appropriations on Capitol Hill and with Executive agenciesSupport internal Government Services team with respect to business objectives with the Pentagon and Intelligence agenciesGrow and maintain network of relationships with Congressional members and staff relating to strategic business opportunities in the defense sectorDraft legislative language and testimony related to objectivesMonitor legislation and hearings and report internallyMonitor and analyze federal/defense budgets, legislative proposals, and appropriationsDevelop materials for key audiences in furtherance of E-Space Government Services goalsWhat you bring to this role:
A Bachelor’s degree5+ years of professional experience working on legislative matters in the private sector, a Congressional office, an Executive agency, and/or the Intelligence CommunityActive clearance preferredBonus points:
Direct experience with NDAA and appropriations and budget planning and developmentExcellent written and verbal communications skillsExperience working on issues directly related to DOD and the Intelligence Community, or other agencies with space capabilities or responsibilitiesKnowledge of space/satellite services industryKnowledge of satellite systems and defense/Intelligence Community programsKnowledge of U.S. federal contracting and acquisition practiceWe are redefining how satellites are designed, manufactured and used—so we’re looking for candidates with passion, deep knowledge and direct experience on LEO satellite component development, design and in-orbit activities.
