Administrative Assistant/Assistant to the Vice Presidents

These tasks include, but are not limited to:Conducting the general business of OCPDICorresponding by email and phone with internal AAC&U staff and external members and affiliatesCoordinating travel and managing calendar assignments for the Vice Presidents, and others, as assignedOrganizing calendar for OCPDI meetingsDeveloping and maintaining spreadsheets and data entry for contacts, programs, and projectsPreparing letters, PPT presentations, and other written and visual materials as neededEditing programs, brochures, letters, and other written materialsSupport the development and maintenance of OCPDI web pagesPreparing and handling mailingsProcessing expense reimbursements and billsManaging specified budget records, conference calls, and webinarsMaintaining and organizing OCPDI electronic files and suppliesCollaborating with other OCPDI staff and internal offices on the logistics and program for institutes and conferences led by OCPDIOther duties as assignedREQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
2-3 years of work experience is required (preferably in the higher education sector)Excellent organizational, oral and written communication, and editing skillsDatabase management skills, including familiarity with Access and ExcelOutstanding attention to detail, with an understanding of larger contextsExperience working with diverse populationsDependability, flexibility, and strict confidentialityAbility to work both collaboratively, as a member of a team, and independently to accomplish goalsEffective time management skills; ability to balance and set priorities among many tasks and meet deadlinesInterest in higher education issues, particularly related to teaching and learning and student successWillingness to learn new skills to meet the evolving needs of the officeSelf-directed ability to thrive in a fast-paced advocacy organization at the center of higher education reformDESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Working knowledge of webpage design programsThis role is a hybrid position. A reasonable rate of compensation for this position is between $55,000-65,000. The position is full-time and based in Washington, DC. Excellent benefits.
