About the Role
As the Preschool Mandarin Teacher, you will have the opportunity to create and implement engaging lessons in Mandarin for our Preschool and Pre-K students, focusing on vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Additionally, you will float between classrooms, providing support and coverage in other preschool environments when necessary.
You Will Also:
Plan, supervise, and implement the Mandarin curriculumMaintain the Mandarin curriculum and materials at your schoolSupport and cover other preschool classrooms as neededCollaborate with other faculty and staff membersCommunicate regularly with parents, school leaders, and other staff as appropriate
What We Are Looking For:
Twelve post-secondary semester or equivalent quarter units in Early Childhood Education or a related field from an accredited college or universityA Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood DevelopmentSix months or more experience working in a childcare center or programMust be fluent in both Mandarin and EnglishMust be eligible to work in the U.S.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. In general, this position requires an individual to frequently walk, stand, sit, squat, stoop, reach, kneel, rise from the floor, twist, listen, read, write, and speak the English language.
