Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance RHEL and Windows-based systems to support IoT and RTLS solutions. Manage server environments, including configuration, monitoring (such as Nagios or AppDynamics), patching, and performance tuning across RHEL and Windows platforms. Support the service desk by providing tier 3 incident resolution, including advanced troubleshooting and technical guidance for system-related issues, ensuring timely and effective responses to user requests. Manage solutions that integrate IoT devices, RTLS technologies, and other hardware or software components for real-time monitoring and data capture. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, network engineers, and security teams to optimize system performance and security. Develop and maintain automation scripts (using Python, Bash, or PowerShell) to streamline deployment, monitoring, and maintenance processes for Linux, Windows, and WebLogic environments. Implement robust security protocols and ensure compliance with industry best practices for securing IoT, RTLS, and WebLogic ecosystems. Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex technical issues related to hardware, software, WebLogic application servers, and network layers (such as HA Proxy and PIV Proxy) ensuring minimal system downtime. Oversee the deployment and scaling of IoT and RTLS applications, ensuring they are optimized for real-time data processing, low latency, and high availability. Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures. Stay updated with emerging technologies, particularly in IoT and RTLS, and provide recommendations for adopting new tools or methodologies.Basic Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in system engineering with extensive experience in both RHEL and Windows environments.Experience with industrial IoT deployments in sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, or logistics, and with IoT technologies, RTLS solutions, and understanding of related protocols such as BLE, RFID, Zigbee, and UWB.Experience with virtualization and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestrating microservices in production.Knowledge of scripting and automation, including Bash, Python, and PowerShell, and of networking principles such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, and VPN, and the ability to troubleshoot network issues.Knowledge of RTLS platforms such as CenTrak, Sonitor, JuniperMist, and Zebra, and of real-time data processing and large-scale data management.Ability to understand security best practices for IoT, RTLS, enterprise systems, and WebLogic middleware, including firewall configurations, encryption, and access control.Ability to work independently and within a team, and excellent problem-solving skills.Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.Additional Qualifications:
