We’re looking for a Director, Strategic Sales in North America to lead a team of seasoned sales professionals. As a leader in our Strategic segment, you’ll enjoy broad responsibility for securing new large customer spend with Vimeo in enterprise organizations. You and your team will be responsible for the overall relationship with these customers along with developing, driving and closing revenue opportunities. To accomplish this, you and your team will consistently be able to articulate Vimeo’s differentiation in the marketplace, as well as the value proposition to customers in a variety of segments and use cases. The right candidate will have proven ability to provoke demand, move up the value chain in large organizations and drive large revenue commitments from them.You’ll manage a diverse team of sales professionals and build relationships with customer executives directly. You’ll drive effective operations and forecasting accuracy across the sales organization to ensure we build a best-in-class team that scales.What you’ll do:
Exceed sales quota targets by selling Vimeo Enterprise SaaS platformsHire, develop and motivate an outstanding sales team to ensure we deliver revenueBuild a strong team culture while fostering a broad feeling of inclusion for individual team membersCoach this sales team to:Develop and maintain expertise in the Vimeo value proposition and the business application of all Vimeo product offeringsHelp companies across varying industries to understand the unique differentiators of our products, leading evaluation cycles to rapidly reach agreementUnderstand and interpret prospective customer requirements, delivering customized business cases which speak to your customers’ unique needs and motivatorsSecure new logos as public references to further the market momentumProvide timely and insightful input back to other Vimeo teams, particularly product management, marketing, and business leadershipRefine our internal processes to ensure effective measurement of performance, consistent experience from internal & external partners, and improvement to team’s impact on the success of dealsSkills you should possess:
Experience running a sales operation including forecasting, formulating demand generation and deal execution strategies, leading a repeatable sales process and executing a value-based sales methodologyExperience building relationships with customer executives, understanding their environment, and introducing new concepts to solve problemsExperience working in a fluid, fast-paced environment and navigating matrixed organizationsStrong verbal and written communication, time management, organizational as well as presentation skillsPassion for problem solving with a roll-up-your sleeves demeanor8+ years of experience working in a sales capacity4+ years of experience leading sales teamsBachelor’s Degree or equivalentPreferred Requirements:
4+ years of experience in the digital video industryKnowledge of various video buying personas such as Marketing, Corporate Communications and HRDirect experience in building out an approach to value sellingTargeted Base Salary Range: $156,600 to $238,500The base salary range listed above is for candidates located in the U.S., including the New York City metro area.At Vimeo, we strive to hire and nurture amazing talent across the globe.
