Responsibilities
Sabre Systems is actively looking for a Systems Engineer Subject Matter Expert to support our team located in Manchester, NJ. This position will support the company’s efforts in providing support to Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers primarily for the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) and the Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) programs. The SME must be a recognized ALRE expert (EMALS or AAG preferred).Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs.Provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff.Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues.Consults with client to define need or problem, supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test or evaluate military weapons systems.Reviews and prepares engineering and technical specifications, analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.Applies engineering experience to perform functions such as system engineering and integration, configuration management, quality assurance and testing.Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems associated support systems.Performs acquisition, program and resource management functions of assigned programs/projects.Qualifications
BS in an Engineering Discipline and MS in Engineering (Engineering Management or Systems Engineering preferred).Twenty (20) years’ overall experience in DoD Engineering and/or Program Management; Fifteen (15) years’ in ALRE (EMALS or AAG preferred).Systems Planning, Research, Development and Engineering- Systems Engineer, Level III certification.DoD Secret Clearance.U.S. Citizenship required.Candidate must have an active Secret Clearance and will be required to pass a background check for this position.Selected candidate must pass a background investigation.Overview
