Responsibilities
Sabre Systems is currently hiring for a Cost Analyst at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst (NAWCADLKE) in Lakehurst, NJ. NAWCADLKE is the premiere Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) and Aircraft Support Equipment (SE) research, development, test and evaluation, and sustainment installation supporting the US Navy. The primary job responsibilities of the Cost Analyst include, but are not limited to:Knowledgebase/database familiarity:Ability to retrieve (historical) data from predefined databaseScrub data for use in Excel modeling;use of statistical techniquesAbility to create databases/data sets or append toAccounting:Recognize basic elements of proposalDirect labor, material, Overhead, indirect rates/cost, G&AHow these elements are put together to culminate in contract proposalAbility to evaluate proposals by examining voluminous pages of technical, programmatic, financial information and drawing conclusionPredictive Analytics:Use historical data to predict future eventsAbility to link technical parameters to pricingAbility to apply appropriate economic/ technical metrics, production curves theoryKnowledge of generic CWS, sub-components product cost totalPublic Speaking/Writing skillsAbility to author a presentation and brief/defend your analyses to customerOrganize your thoughts and explain your explain your conclusion in a convincing mannerAbility to interview clients/team members and extract technical and programmatic informationEXCEL based economic / financial models:Using problem solving techniques to define the issue, organizing thoughts and translating into EXCEL functions/techniquesCreate model to represent acquisition scenariosQualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Science, Math, Economics or related field, or at least 24 semesters hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics, is required. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.Some related experience and knowledge is required.Candidate is required to pass a background investigation.The selected candidate must be a U.S Citizen, and be able to obtain a DoD secret clearance.#LI-PH1Overview
