Responsibilities:
As a Software Integration Engineer at Sabre Systems, you will employ your talent towards improving the systems used on the United States Navys most sophisticated Aircraft. The challenge to continually improve the mission capabilities of Navy aircraft requires engagement from the most elite software professionals available. Your talents can make a difference in keeping our ships and sailors safe from threats both above and below the surface of the ocean. The Maritime Surveillance domain requires Software Integration Engineers to familiarize themselves with a wide variety of mission systems, software programming languages and environments. Work cross functionally with developers and system administrators becoming familiar with system requirements and behaviorsIntegrate system capabilities in a Red Hat environmentAssist developers with installation and configuration, including troubleshooting and remediationTroubleshoot and debug system issues, analyzing root cause in the areas of hardware, network and software issuesAssist with release deployment and periodic system/application patchingOptimize maintenance and deployments to ensure integrated functionalityAll candidates should be prepared to participate in processes applicable to software development, integration and testQualifications:Requirements:Bachlor's Degree in a Computer Science, Computer Systems Information Management, IT, Electrical Engineering or MathematicsThree (3) years or more of Red Hat experience at an administration levelSecurity+ certification is highly desiredKnowledge of fundamental networking conceptsExperience with virtualization environments, scripting, troubleshooting software and hardware, and working in an agile environmentExperience with PXE and ISCSI interfacesBasic understanding of the Java programming language to support java application integrationRequires a good understanding of software development, software applications, system administration and integration and ability to multi-task and manage multiple prioritiesFamiliarity with Atlassian suite including Jira and ConfluenceBitBucket and Bamboo experience is highly desiredAbility to work independently, be a problem solver and strong desire to learn in a fast-paced environmentCandidate must be able to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret clearanceMust be a US CitizenCandidates will be required to pass a background check for this positionAdditional experience in the following areas is highly desired:Git version control softwareMavenIA and STIG application
