Mid-Level MBSE Systems EngineerRadiance Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Mid-Level Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Systems Engineer to support a U.S. Space Force program. This position requires a talented and experienced MBSE Systems Engineer to provide lifecycle systems engineering using MBSE. The MBSE Systems Engineer will be required to use MBSE principles, practices, and tools to support the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process, including analysis/feasibility, planning/requirements, design, system development, testing, deployment, maintenance, evaluation, and disposition/disposal. The MBSE Systems Engineer will work closely with space system design engineers to develop and maintain the system MBSE model as the Authoritative Source of Truth (ASOT) to guide the SDLC process.
Responsibilities
Design model-based system of systems, digital threads, and architectures.
Utilize MBSE to define requirements, functions, design, and test.
Develop and maintain models, artifacts, and integrated datasets for complex systems and systems of systems.
Integrate Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) products and frameworks with MBSE models to perform mission analysis and parametric assessments.
Provide MBSE expertise and guidance to the multi-disciplined project team across the SDLC process.
Identify, manage, and communicate program and project risks.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering (or aerospace, electrical, or mechanical engineering with systems engineering and MBSE training and experience).
Experience with systems engineering/architecture development and technical project management in support of the Intelligence Community (IC) and/or Department of Defense (DoD).
Experience solving complex systems engineering problems using standard systems engineering methodologies.
Demonstrated proficiency in technical writing through producing test plans, final reports, process instructions, or other equivalent activities.
Experience conducting systems engineering technical reviews to include Design Concept Review (DCR), System Functional Review (SFR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Final Design Review (FDR), Test Readiness Review (TRR), and Production Readiness Review (PRR).
Experience with hardware, software, and documentation configuration management.
Self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills.
U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Required Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience with lifecycle systems engineering with MBSE training and experience.
Experience with industry, DoD and/or commercial, systems engineering and MBSE principles and practices.
Experience with MBSE tools and languages, such as Cameo and SysML.
Experience with extending systems models into other tools and creating digital models and simulations.
Experience with projects using Agile software and hardware development methodologies.
Experience with space systems material handling requirements.
Desired Qualifications
Master’s degree in systems engineering (or aerospace, electrical, or mechanical engineering with systems engineering and MBSE training and experience).
5+ years’ experience with lifecycle systems engineering with MBSE training and experience.
Experience with aerospace system lifecycle design for launch, mission operations, and end-of-mission disposal.
Experience with Government or commercial spaceflight programs.
Active SECRET clearance.
