About the Role:We're on the hunt for an experienced Law Firm Administrator to join the hive on behalf of our clients. This remote role, ideally suited for candidates in Southern California (Los Angeles or Orange County), operates at a near-COO level in a growing firm. As a pivotal member of the leadership team, you'll drive the strategic vision and operational excellence of the non-legal side of the business. You'll work closely with senior leadership to implement initiatives supporting growth, operational efficiency, and long-term success.
Your Mission:
Foster a positive, high-performance culture grounded in company values.Lead and manage a team of non-attorney staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.Partner with the CEO to define and implement strategic goals that align with the firm's growth objectives.Oversee the optimization of firm-wide operations, focusing on efficiency, risk management, and compliance.Collaborate with the CFO on financial oversight, budget forecasting, and financial performance.Manage daily operations, including workflow, document and data management, virtual facilities, and vendor management.Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for operational success.Oversee HR functions such as payroll, benefits administration, recruiting, onboarding, and compliance with federal and state regulations.Maintain a seamless Potential New Client (PNC) experience, ensuring process and workflow efficiency.

Leadership & Strategic Planning : Ability to lead and motivate teams, implement strategic initiatives, and drive long-term growth.Operations Management : Skilled in optimizing workflows, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.Human Resources : Expertise in full-cycle recruiting, employee relations, and talent management.Financial Oversight : Proficiency in budget management, financial forecasting, and analysis.
What You Bring:
High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred.Certified Legal Manager (CLM) preferred.7+ years of experience in law firm administration or legal operations management.3+ years of supervisory experience managing legal staff of 10 or more.Proven HR experience, including recruiting and onboarding.Experience managing a budget of $5 million or more.Familiarity with remote-first work environments.
Skills Required:
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Project management skills for handling multiple priorities.Knowledge of legal office procedures, terminology, and document management systems.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.High attention to detail, organizational skills, and a client-service mindset.Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Certifications:
Certified Legal Manager (CLM) preferred.
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
